WELCOME!
Thank you for your interest in IOFA!
Recognizing that nearly one third of the world's population
is adolescent, and more than 85% of these adolescents live in the
developing world, IOFA seeks to advance the health and well-being
of this often underserved population.
By entering into partnerships with individuals, groups and community-based
organizations, IOFA strives to improve the lives of young people through
programming, advocacy, and progressive social/organizational change
at the local, regional and international levels.
IOFA works to address emerging problems facing young people. Currently,
IOFA is focused on two main initiatives - the Prevention of Youth
Trafficking and Exploitation, and Girls Leadership Development, with
several projects supporting each initiative. IOFA is also home to
Train Tracks, International Training Institute on Human Trafficking.
IOFA also has several projects under development, including a program
to assist orphans and other institutionalized youth, and an initiative
identifying environmental harms that affect the health and well-being
of children and adolescents.
