Fundraising/Grants Intern
Responsibilities
To provide integral support to IOFA's fundraising efforts by researching potential and current donors, including government and non-government funding. Research would be very project oriented and the intern would need to make use of extensive online resources.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Graduate-level student studying international affairs, public policy, non-profit management or related field
- Superior research skills
- Outstanding ability to categorize, organize, and present research
- Interest and commitment to international development, youth issues, or non-profit management
- Experience working in a developing country or with youth or a foundation a plus.
PR and Media Intern
Responsiblities
To provide integral support to IOFA's PR and marketing campaign. To monitor media coverage of IOFA, trafficking and youth-related issues in the US and abroad. To develop and update a target media list. To help draft and disseminate press advisories and press releases, make pitch calls to journalists, and handle inquiries from journalists; and to make recommendations on other media outreach activities (e.g., letters to the editor, OpEds, etc., and help execute them).
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Graduate-level student studying PR and/or marketing, international affairs, public policy, non-profit management or related field
- Superior research skills
- Outstanding ability to categorize, organize, and present research
- Interest and commitment to international development, youth issues, or non-profit management
- Experience working in a developing country or with youth or a foundation a plus.
