Smooth Flight Video
A Trafficking Prevention Film for Youth
This 30-minute training film shares the hopes, dreams and experiences
of youth from Latvia as they go abroad in search of work, adventure,
and opportunity. This film features two re-enactments of actual interviews
with young women who were victims of human trafficking. Featuring
popular music and television personalities, this film specifically
targets youth ages 14-25 and is part of an educational curriculum
designed to prevent human trafficking.

A Guide to Preventing Youth Trafficking
Published by the Project for the Prevention of Adolescent Trafficking
(PPAT) and generously funded by the United Nations Development Fund
for Women (UNIFEM).
Smooth Flight: A Guide to Preventing Youth Trafficking provides teachers,
youth counselors, or anyone who works with or cares about youth with
a comprehensive approach to preventing young people from becoming
victims of human trafficking. The guide is a simple and practical

presents the issue in easy to understand language while providing
step-by-step instructions for empowering and educating youth about
the problem of human trafficking. The guide shares best practices
for youth trafficking prevention programs from the Project for the
Prevention of Adolescent Trafficking (PPAT), and from other international
experts including UNICEF, IOM, and La Strada.
